Could climate change affect the number of jobs in the future?

There’s no doubt that climate change is happening. Perhaps it is less drastic than some thought and perhaps it is worse than others anticipated. Many people who talk of climate change generally agree that it will have adverse affects on our way of life. Our lifestyles that have contributed to accelerated climate change need to change and we need to take more care of our environment and the creatures that rely on healthy ecosystems.

However, climate change will affect more than just our environments. Our economies could also be affected and this includes the job market. Our jobs and social activities are highly dependant on the environment. Our incomes and economic growth are inextricably connected to our natural resources and healthy environmental systems.

So could climate change lead to less jobs in the future? Perhaps. The outcome of climate change will depend on how we act now.
