Vancouver, B.C., Canada – On November 14, 2018, the ground-breaking technology from Legend Power® Systems Inc. (TSX-V: LPS), a global leader in voltage management technology, is undergoing a name change. The Harmonizer, which is gaining a strong reputation throughout Canada and the U.S. in helping forward-thinking companies to decrease their carbon footprints while reducing costs, is being renamed SmartGATE™.
Said Mark Petersen, Legend Power’s VP of Engineering, “SmartGATE™ is uniquely positioned in the electrical room to manage all power in the facility and so is a platform from which the future of power management for buildings will be hosted.” He added: “We think the name SmartGATE more accurately conveys the value of an innovative product which puts a building owner in control of the electrical environment in its facilities, provides instant cost savings – and as importantly – lowers its environmental impact.”
Voltage management is increasingly important as utilities struggle to meet electricity demand across an aging grid infrastructure. Today, SmartGATE’s proprietary and patented technology delivers voltage management reductions of 3 percent to 8 percent, resulting in savings on electrical costs and reduced wear and tear on all of a building’s electrical components. In the future, additional feature sets will enable SmartGATE™ to be a catalyst for a greater variety of power management approaches. It allows everyone in the electrical ecosystem to be more energy efficient in the least disruptive way possible.
Said Legend Power CEO, Randy Buchamer, “The product already had ‘smart’ elements which is why it is one-of-a-kind in its category. With the recent addition of remote monitoring and key power analytics delivered to customers digitally, in real-time, and more innovation coming, we wanted to have the product name reflect the significant benefits that SmartGATE™ creates for every organization that installs it.”
Legend Power’s SmartGATE™ is currently available with eight systems serving building needs between 600 and 4,000 AMPs. For more on the system’s capabilities, please visit https://legendpower.com/products/.
