The World Bank explains a vision for sustainable energy for all.

Made up of five different institutions, The World Bank is an organization that seeks to “end extreme poverty within a generation and boost shared prosperity.” While these are two of the group’s main goals, the organization is also interested in supporting and improving the state of energy consumption and efficiency the world over.

In the below infographic, Sustainable Energy for All presented by The World Bank, the three main goals of the UN initiative, Sustainable Energy for All (SEFA), is explained. Launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in 2011, SEFA hopes to achieve these objectives by 2030. The three goals are listed below and further explained in the infographic.

Sustainable Energy for All Goals

  1. Providing universal access to modern energy services.
  2. Doubling the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency.
  3. Doubling the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
