REV: A promising new energy saving initiative from the state of New York.

Discover how New York is planning to achieve a more energy efficient state.

It is always commendable to see leaders of any capacity take initiative when it comes to the global state of energy and the environment. Being at the forefront of many things in the American culture, the state of New York is often recognized as a leading constituent within North America. As such, it is inspiring to learn of New York’s efforts to improve their state’s energy operations, as well as their overall energy industry.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the state of New York will be introducing an initiative that they are calling Reforming the Energy Vision (REV), which will seek to overhaul the state’s current energy industry. Specifically, the REV initiative will seek to change regulatory practices, which in turn will “promote more efficient use of energy, deeper penetration of renewable energy resources such as wind and solar,” and more (via New York State). It is the hope of New York State that REV will offer the citizens of New York different options in terms of how they are using energy, enabling them to conserve electricity and help protect the environment.
