An initiative from The Climate Group supports corporations as they commit to becoming 100% renewable.
In the past, we’ve discussed the important steps large corporations have taken towards becoming 100% sustainable companies. Examples, such as Starbucks’ commitment to ethically sourcing 100% of their coffee and Apple’s Environmental Responsibility Report, have demonstrated that environmental awareness and a commitment to sustainability and renewable business practices is not just for small scale businesses or environmentally aligned companies.
RE100, and the globally influential companies that have committed to it, is further proof of an emerging environmentally conscious trend. Run by The Climate Group in conjunction with the CDP, RE100 is an initiative that seeks to celebrate and support companies that are pursuing the goal of becoming 100% renewalble.
Since it’s launch at last year’s Climate Week NYC, 19 companies have joined RE100, committing to the pursuit of becoming 100% renewable. Among these companies are internationally recognized corporations, such as IKEA, H&M, Nestlé and more. View a full list of the RE100’s corporate partners.
The goal of RE100 is to succeed in having at least 100 companies make a global commitment to going 100% renewable. Visit www.there100.org for more information on this initiative.
Environmental responsibility is of the utmost importance to Legend. We applaud each corporation’s commitment to RE100 and are proud to be in partnership with companies such as IKEA as they pursue their goals of becoming 100% renewable.
