Gerald Gill

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Gill has over 40 years diversified experience in corporate management and an extensive background in international trade and business development.

Prior to Legend Power, Mr. Gill was the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Chai-Na-Ta Corporation, a publicly held, vertically integrated Ginseng Company that traded on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. He joined the Company in 1990 as Vice President, and became President in 1993. During his tenure, Chai-Na-Ta became the largest producer of North American ginseng in the world, with operations in Canada, U.S., Mexico, Barbados, China and Hong Kong. Between 1994 and 1996, the Company made Profit Magazine’s “Canada’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” list for three consecutive years. In 1996, it was awarded the Chubb Insurance Award for the highest average gross profit margin over a 10-year period.

In 1982, Mr. Gill helped to found Yamashina International, Inc., where he served as its Chief Operating Officer until 1990. This Company was a subsidiary of a publicly held Japanese fastener company based in Kyoto, Japan. The North American program imported and distributed fasteners in Canada and the United States to over 800 customers. During his tenure, he established warehouse distribution systems in Vancouver, Montreal, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Prior to Yamashina, Mr. Gill spent 12 years at Freightliner of Canada Ltd. Freightliner experienced substantial growth from $7 million in sales in 1969 to over $130 million by 1979. During his tenure, he variously held the positions Chief Financial Officer, Secretary/Treasurer, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Vice President of Operations.

Mr. Gill completed the Executive Program in Business Administration from the Columbia University, New York, in 1980. He has also attended other various business courses and seminars.

Currently a member of The Executive Committee of Canada (TEC Canada), an international organization of Chief Executive Officers, and sits on the boards of several other companies.
